The German Health Network (Deutsches Gesundheitsnetz, DGN) has been developing professional IT solutions for the secure exchange of data between medical practices, clinics, laboratories and pharmacies for over 20 years. Secure networking and electronic signatures are among the company's specialties. The company develops tailored solutions to make workflows in the outpatient and inpatient sectors safer and more efficient. The company's declared goal is to actively shape the future of the healthcare sector as a driving force for innovation.
Freundbild has been successfully implementing projects for DGN since 2011 and is also supporting the IT service provider as a conceptual consultant.
As an important sub-project of this continuous cooperation, support was requested for the introduction and marketing of DGN products and services for the implementation of the new E-Health Act. DGN offers all necessary technical components for the telematics infrastructure (TI). The TI networks all participants in the healthcare system to securely exchange patient information across sectors and systems.
In addition to a detailed analysis, conception and consulting, this sub-project also included the relaunch of the company website dgn.de, including a shop function and support area. Moreover, a customer area was set up to improve communication and relieve the support team.
To realize this complex project, the existing business processes were analyzed and revised together with the customer. This paved the way for the relaunch of Freundbild's website, which was accompanied by our UX designers and developers.
With the newly structured web presence including the newly developed online shop and support area, the ordering processes were optimized.
Furthermore, the DGN support team was relieved: After the relaunch, DGN customers had a better understanding of the products and easier communication in the customer portal.
